The International School in Genoa was authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme starting in the fall of 2002. Since we had our first high school graduating class in the spring of 2004, 97% of our candidates have earned the IB diploma (as compared to the typical 78-79% annual rate of candidates who earn the IB diploma world-wide). In almost every year, 100% earned the IB diploma. Our students’ success is due to a very close student-teacher-family relationship and high academic standards.
In the last five years of testing, the overall average score of ISG students on their IB diplomas was 31 points (out of a maximum possible 45). The annual score of IB students world-wide is typically 30 points.
ISG was a founding member of AIBWSI, the Association of IB World Schools in Italy.
ISG is very proud to have several IB examiners from a variety of academic disciplines as members of its teaching faculty.
